Question 1

What is ClubGuru?

Accepted Answer

ClubGuru is an all-in-one operating system for service clubs. It brings membership, dues, meetings, your club calendar, a public website, newsletters, volunteers, games, and fundraising together in one simple dashboard — so your board spends less time on admin and more time serving your community.

Question 2

Who is ClubGuru for?

Accepted Answer

ClubGuru is built for Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, and every kind of service or community club. Whether you have 15 members or 150, it gives presidents, secretaries, treasurers, and board members one place to run everything.

Question 3

Do we need to be tech-savvy to use ClubGuru?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. ClubGuru is designed for volunteers, not IT experts. Most tasks take just a few clicks, and there is nothing to install — it runs in your web browser on any device.

Question 4

How do we get started and import our members?

Accepted Answer

Getting started is quick: create your free account, set up your club profile, and import your member roster from a spreadsheet. Most clubs are up and running the same day.

Question 5

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every club gets a full 60-day free trial, no credit card required. Explore everything with your own club, and the $30/month subscription only begins after your two free months.

Question 6

Does ClubGuru work on phones and tablets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ClubGuru works in any modern web browser on desktop, tablet, and phone, so you and your members can use it anywhere.

Question 7

How is ClubGuru different from spreadsheets or a Facebook group?

Accepted Answer

Spreadsheets and social groups scatter your club's information and create manual work. ClubGuru replaces all of it with one connected system — roster, dues, meetings, website, communications, volunteers, and fundraising — so everything stays in sync and far less is done by hand.

Question 8

How much does ClubGuru cost?

Accepted Answer

ClubGuru is free for your first 60 days. After that it's a flat $30 per month for your whole club, billed monthly or annually, with no contracts or per-member fees. On donations, your club can choose a flat 3% platform fee or turn on optional donor tipping. See our pricing page for full details.

Question 9

How does ClubGuru handle membership and dues?

Accepted Answer

ClubGuru runs your membership and dues from start to finish: a member roster with a simple CRM, your dues amounts, invoices raised each dues year, a public join and renewal page where members pay online, checks and cash recorded by hand, receipts, adjustments and refunds, and a Member Paid Report of who has paid and who has not. The AccountGuru add-on ($19/month) adds the books behind it: every dues payment split to the right fund and matched to your bank deposits.

Question 10

Can members pay their dues online?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it comes with ClubGuru. Members can pay dues securely online through ClubGuru, and their status updates automatically when they join or renew. Your treasurer can also record cash or check payments manually.

Question 11

Does ClubGuru help with fundraising and service projects?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ClubGuru connects with powerful fundraising tools so your club can run fundraisers, accept donations, sell tickets, and manage sponsors — without needing to be a marketing or fundraising expert.

Question 12

Can our supporters donate online?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. ClubGuru gives your club a public Donate button and online giving, so supporters can contribute in seconds and every gift is tracked in one place.

Question 13

Does AccountGuru connect to our bank?

Accepted Answer

Yes. With AccountGuru ($19/month) your treasurer connects the club's bank once, through the bank's own secure sign-in, and every transaction arrives in a review queue by itself. Nothing is posted to your books without the treasurer's click: a deposit that is already in the books is matched, a new expense is posted with its category, and Stripe payouts are matched to the card payments inside them. When the statement comes, Reconcile opens with the ending balance already worked out and every bank-verified transaction ticked. The bank feed is included in AccountGuru — no extra charge and no per-pull fees. Your bank login never touches ClubGuru.

Question 14

What happens when my reconcile won't balance?

Accepted Answer

AccountGuru helps two ways. First, for free: whenever the difference isn't $0.00, a button called “Why isn't this $0.00?” gathers every fact behind it from your own books — the rows that add up to the difference, bank lines still waiting or excluded, transactions set aside, rows not ticked, finished statements — each with the button that fixes it. Second, if it still isn't clear, Ask AccountGuru: an AI accountant reads those same facts and the AccountGuru manual and tells you the cause and the clicks, in plain words. That costs 25 tokens, about 25 cents, shown on the button before you click and charged only when it answers. AccountGuru never changes your books — you do the clicking. The same help sits on the Overview (“Explain the leftover”) and on any bank line (“What is this?”).

Question 15

How does ClubGuru help us run meetings?

Accepted Answer

ClubGuru includes a meeting agenda builder, a speaker tracker, a shared club calendar, and automatic meeting reminders — so meetings run smoothly and nothing falls through the cracks.

Question 16

Can ClubGuru host our club's public website?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every club gets a polished public website at clubguru.org/your-club, with no design or coding required. Share news, events, your meeting place, and a Donate button with your community.

Question 17

Can we manage volunteers and track service hours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Volunteer Hub lets you post sign-ups and shifts, recruit helpers, and track service hours automatically — making it easy to show your club's community impact.

Question 18

Does ClubGuru send reminders by email and text?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ClubGuru can send members email and SMS reminders and announcements, so you no longer have to send meeting reminders by hand.

Question 19

Can multiple board members have access?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can invite your board and officers so everyone — president, secretary, treasurer, and committee chairs — can work together in one place with the right access.

Question 20

Can we generate reports for our board and district?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ClubGuru tracks service hours and membership data and produces reports you can share with your board and district — perfect for recognition and annual reporting.

Question 21

Is our club's data safe and private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ClubGuru is a secure, multi-tenant platform — your club's data is isolated and only accessible to your authorized members. Payments are processed through trusted, PCI-compliant providers.

Question 22

How do we get help if we have questions?

Accepted Answer

ClubGuru includes built-in help and support, and our team is happy to walk you through anything. You can also schedule a demo to see it in action with your club in mind.
